Loretta Raftery is President and founder of HR/Labor Solutions, Inc., a Southern California-based human resources and labor relations consulting firm. Raftery was previously Vice President of Human Resources and Corporate Counsel for American Golf Corporation, a 22,000-employee golf course management company headquartered in Santa Monica, California, and there earned a national reputation as a leader in strategic human resources, training, development and labor relations in both the golf and hospitality industries. Prior to joining American Golf, Raftery was a business and employment litigator.

Now a nationally-known speaker, facilitator, and human resources strategist, Raftery has built a reputation for her no-nonsense approach to human resources by creating effective business solutions and maximizing human capital through her expertise in a number of areas, including strategic human resources design, employee recognition and communication, and leadership development. Raftery has also developed a unique practice which blends her legal background with human resources, and is considered a hospitality industry expert in the areas of union avoidance, collective bargaining, wage and hour compliance, and sexual harassment and discrimination.

As CEO of HR/Labor Solutions, Raftery now offers the business community her unique blend of talents through her team of accomplished human resources consultants, who provide a broad range of human resources and labor relations consulting services. Raftery also personally facilitates a seminar series available to human resources and legal professionals, including: "Stay Union Free: a primer" and "Effective Investigations", both offered nationwide through HR/Labor Solutions' seminar division.

Raftery is a licensed attorney, admitted to the State Bar of California in 1983. Prior to attending Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, Raftery received a BA in Political Science and an MA in Applied Behavioral Science. She lives in Manhattan Beach, California with her three children.
